This new state-of-the-art self storage facility opened in Bermuda in Spring 2010. Island Self Storage Ltd., part of the Mill Reach Properties site in Pembroke Parish, has 297 climate-controlled units and 20 wine-storage units.
This project incorporated the first advanced dehumidification systems in Bermuda. It allows humidity to be kept at optimum levels, providing the ultimate safeguard for customers' valuables. Temperature and humidity levels are maintained to minimize the possibility of mould developing. The facility's back-up emergency power ensures that this low humidity environment is maintained in the event of power interruptions.
The storage facility is part of a large warehouse built on the site of a former car-storage business. Market research showed a need for the service from local residents and businesses as well as visitors from overseas.
Island Solutions developed, designed, oversaw construction, outfitted and implemented the project.
